About HelloGuestbook
HelloGuestbook exists to help Airbnb and short-term rental hosts reduce repetitive guest questions and deliver a smoother stay through one simple digital guestbook.
Why it started
It all started when I kept noticing the same problem as a guest: welcome information was often there, but hard to find when it mattered. So who am I? My name is Sølve, and I am a Norwegian developer and the founder of HelloGuestbook.
Most guests do not think much about the welcome experience until it is bad. No WiFi instructions, a binder from three years ago, recommended restaurants that no longer exist, a check-out time buried in a booking confirmation nobody scrolled to.
I saw the same thing from the other side when reaching out to hosts: the same questions from every guest, every stay, before arrival, during, and sometimes after. The information existed. There just was not a good place to put it where guests would actually find it.
That became the first vision of HelloGuestbook.
How HelloGuestbook grew
HelloGuestbook started as a simple idea: one link, everything a guest needs, on any phone without an app or login. No printing, no updating PDFs, no hoping guests scroll far enough to find the check-out time.
It has grown since then. Interactive maps, smart home integration, multi-property management. But the core is still the same: make the guest experience smoother, and make the host's phone a little quieter.
Contact and accountability
If something is unclear or inaccurate, tell me and I will fix it. I read support messages directly and use that feedback to improve the product and documentation.
HelloGuestbook is independent, self-funded, and built around hosts who actually use it. If something is missing, I'd love to hear about it.
